In combination with a 2/2-way slip-in cartridge valve (cartridge valve) of the CEE or CHF types, the cartridge covers form the control function in an integrated manifold system. In many cases, the cover also forms the connection from the control side of the cartridge to the pilot valves, which are either mounted directly on the cover or installed elsewhere in the valve block and connected to the cartridge via control lines. By controlling with various pilot valves, the cartridge can perform pressure, directional, and throttle functions or a combination of these. Depending on the desired function, the cover contains the control bores and optionally a stroke limiter, check valves, or shuttle valves. The Wessel range consists of covers in nominal sizes 16, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 80, and 100 in accordance with DIN 24342 (ISO 7368) as well as Hydroment standard from NG15-100.
