The valve can be used, for example, to set the desired speed for a scraper floor drive. The setting is made by adjustment via a handwheel. When the motors are switched to parallel operation, the motors generate high torque at half speed. When the valve is switched to series operation, the speed doubles at half torque. Typically, the valve is used for a scraper floor drive in loading machines. When unloading hay or grass, for example, this is done slowly at the beginning.
