As long as there is no pressure at inlet P, the oscillating axle cylinder is leak-free locked. As soon as a pressure of 12 +\/- 2 bar is exceeded, the oscillating axle valve opens. The opening pressure is determined by the spring force and the unequal area ratios of the locking spool.  <br><br>A typical application is locking the oscillating axle cylinders on an excavator, which are open during travel operation and must be locked during the slewing process. It is important that when working with the machine (slewing movement), these cylinders are locked. When the oscillating axle is locked, the excavator\u2019s stability is ensured.
